As the oldest and largest educational institution for Landscape Architecture in China, the School of Landscape Architecture at Beijing Forestry University (BFU) boasts the best teaching, research, and student performance in the country. The school currently combines five disciplines—Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Planning and Design, Landscape Plants and Ornamental Horticulture, and Tourism Management, among which the Landscape Architecture program offers degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate levels as well as postdoc positions. This program was ranked No. 1 in the 2012 China Discipline Evaluation by the Ministry of Education. Since its founding in 1951, the School of Landscape Architecture at BFU has always been the most distinguished educational institution as well as research center in the development of Landscape Architecture of China. Its mission is to advance research and innovative design practices in the natural and built environments. Among a total number of 140 faculty members, 70 are in Landscape Architecture, including 17 professors, 25 associate professors, and 28 assistant professors/lecturers. Each year the LA program enrolls 350 BLA students, 146 MLA students, and 24 PhD students. |

College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture of Peking University Peking University promulgated document to establish the college of architecture and landscape architecture on 25th, May, 2010. the college has cultivated 160 PhDs of human geography (landscape planning and design speciality), masters of science of architecture design and theory, masters of science of landscape architecture (MSLA), professional masters of landscape architecture (MLA, Master of Landscape architecture, the same below) in total, and dedicated framework teachers and senior designers for colleges and universities as well as famous planning and design companies. |
